Service Manager

The Service Manager is the life support of this business.

    The Service Manager’s role is to keep the technicians busy at all times as well as maintain a courteous and professional relationship with the customer. He/she is responsible for orchestrating and synchronizing many activities in order to allow the technicians to focus uninterrupted on the business of diagnosing and repairing cars.  The Service Manager’s role is to communicate to the customer the value of the services that Suquamish Auto Repair provides in order to maximize customer satisfaction and company sales at the same time. 

    Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

    Front Office Support:

    • Answer phones & schedule appointmentsSuquamish Auto Repair
    • Write up estimates & work orders
    • Monitor inventory & order parts
    • Communicate effectively with all other employees

    Customer Relations:

    • Test drives car  with customer (as needed)
    • Interact with customers in a professional & courteous manner
    • Listen carefully and record all of customers concerns
    • Inform customer of all services & specials that we can provide them
    • Inform the customer of all work & prices in a timely manner
    • Get authorization on work waiting to be performed
    • Negotiate completion dates / times
    • Explain the technical work performed & show old parts taken off the car
    • Educate the customer on recommended services

    Operations Support:

    • Performs “walk-in” work (as needed)
    • Pulls parts for technicians
    • Prioritizes work for technicians
